Water Conservation

Centre For Transforming India (CFTI)

Water, the essence of life, is a fundamental right, yet many rural communities face challenges accessing clean and sustainable water sources. CFTI recognizes this critical issue and has dedicated itself to implementing comprehensive water conservation strategies in these areas.

CFTI has undertaken a water conservation project in the coastal village Shenwai. Despite being a high rainfall area, the water management is extremely poor. From the month of March every year, water is provided through tankers.

Our technical team did a detailed survey of the villages and its natural sources of water. We store this water by building check dams. From check dams, water is transported through pipelines to the filtration plants. After the filtration, water is supplied to the villagers.

We want to implement the same project in more than 100 villages in coastal Maharashtra.
